My PhD examines the impact and value of socially-engaged art practice in heritage sites through case studies based in Wales and the North of England. Prior to becoming a PGR, I worked in art galleries curating exhibitions, contemporary commissions and collections of Modern British art, most recently at The Hepworth Wakefield, a major new gallery in Yorkshire celebrating the life and work of Barbara Hepworth. In 2017, in my freelance capacity, I curated an exhibition about Hans Arp, the Dada artist and poet, that toured to the Kroller-Muller in Otterlo, NL and Turner Contemporary in Margate, UK.
