New Orleans is filled with fun and adventure!

Here are our host's recommendations for local flavor tours:

Whitney Plantation
Whitney Plantation is the only plantation museum in Louisiana with an exclusive focus on the lives of enslaved people. Visit Whitney’s memorials and restored buildings to enter the world of a Louisiana sugar plantation and to remember those who built and worked this property. On your walking tour, your guide shows you through slave cabins, a freedmen’s church, detached kitchen and outbuildings, a 1790s owner’s house and memorials built to honor the enslaved.

Swamp Tours
Take a New Orleans swamp tour of the famous Honey Island Swamp by Cajun Encounters. You’ll glide through gator territory on a small, flat-bottomed boat and hear all about the swamp and its natural inhabitants from our local, expert captains. Swamp Tours offer pickup services from many French Quarter hotels and visitor centers for your comfort and convenience.

French Quarter Phantoms Ghost Tours
Voted USA Today #1 Ghost Tour in the United States for 2018!

Fun French Quarter Walking tours led by Master Storytellers. Choose from our Ghost & Vampire walking tour, Garden District walking tour, St. Louis #1 Cemetery walking tour, Tour Treme' or Saints and Sinners: a Dirty little French Quarter History tour. Who knew history could be so much fun? All tours are about one hour forty-five minutes, walking distance is just under one mile. Bring your camera (and your friends), wear comfortable shoes, and be prepared to have fun!
